Artistic research about the aesthetics of land maintenance and management in the public realm. The work, situated within green and wooded space, examines how perceived values, such as emotional and cultural representations, and actual values related to livelihoods, resources and production, are reflected in the care and use of landscapes. The research engages with questions about how the application of design practices in municipal management may perpetuate an understanding of living environments as separate from the functional dimensions of green space. Simultaneously, it explores how design and craft might instead support alternative approaches that integrate land and labour connected to natural resources into public spatial awareness.
